Our story began on 23 April 2001 when a mother and daughter teamed up to form a property agency with a significant difference that would prove to set it apart from all of the rest. Loise Freestone retired in 2009 when I took over the leadership of Umhlatuze Properties. The property industry is very competitive with many choices to consider when you are buying or selling as there are many options available on the various platforms which are saturated with advertised properties. You might ask, “How can such a small property agency even compete against a big brand agency?” The answer is simple. Umhlatuze Properties is all about quality rather than quantity. Our team is small and extremely well connected. Our team members have resided in Richards Bay for most of their lives and know the area and residents well. We personally handle every single step of each transaction and are fully aware of the status and progress of each sale. Our relationships are built on our personal connections within our community and afar which is invaluable.
